The Wet Betaalbare Huur (2024) made WWS points the deciding factor for every rental property in the Netherlands.
Every property in the Netherlands is now assigned a WWS (Woningwaarderingsstelsel) score based on size, energy label, facilities and location. Properties with up to 186 points fall under rent control — maximum rent is capped at approximately €1,184/month.
